ok, i installed my sata card and ran the setup.exe that was in the file that you sent me. i looked under my device manager and it DOES show the via chipset so thank you for helping me with that. now what do you recommend that i do since i have an ms28 samsung drive? thanks a lot for all the help by the way.
hey, sorry to bother you again but i have another problem. after i installed the via chipset, i took my xbox apart and got everything hooked up. i started my pc and tried enter the bios but now my keyboard won't work during startup. once my pc enters windows, my keyboard starts to work but it wont work at the beginning when i am trying to access bios. i took my via chipset out and then it allowed me to use my keyboard to enter bios but when i put it back in, it wouldn't. is there a way that i can boot into bios while i am in windows since i can't when i initially turn my pc on?
When your trying to boot to the bios, is your 360 turned on? If so, turn it off. I had the same problem. Once you get to typing in the samread command, connect the sata cable to your 360 and turn it on.
no, this is a completely different problem now. i cannot even boot into bios or setup at all. my keyboard does not function during the startup phase; it only turns on once the welcome screen pops up. even when i took out the sata card, i cannot boot to bios.
hey, would you help me with one more thing. i fixed my bios problem and went through the tutorial that you sent me. i successfully completed all of the steps up to the samhack part. i got the samread to work and i typed in samhack; it brought up my chipset but when i hit 3 (cause that is the number by it) it says: Port: c480, Master/Slave: a0 then, since i cannot hit any other buttons, i hit escape and it says this right under it: Status=80, should be 70 do you know what this means?
Yeah that comes up a sometimes. Just try turning on your 360 at different phases of the process. So try booting your 360 and your pc up together. Or boot your pc up, wait till your about to type in the Samread command then turn your 360 on. Or turn your 360 on, so that when you type in the Samread command, you can select 3.Xtreme, but dont press 3. Turn your 360 off, turn it back on then press 3. MTKFlash is waiting for a response code from your Sammy drive, because when you turn on the Sammy drive, it sends out a response code 70 and that is what MTKflash is waiting for. Sometimes its just a bit picky and you have to experiment.
