which 2 applications do i delete from my Memory stick? Do just delete all 4 files from X:/psp/game? (i got the 3.03 oe-c working just need to learn to play homw brew and iso.) Oh i like to thank bakker cause hes the man. Gave me the tut i got my 3.03oeC working.

so can someone explain to me exactly what 3.03 OE-C does?
can it play games i buy in the shop eg umds because i was using devhook before and i bought a game and it said i needed 2.81 but the devhook only went to 2.71. so will this allow me to play games that need 2.81+
Can I play homebrew games eg iso rom ect
and finally where can i get it?

Custom Firmware 3.03 OE-C Installation Guide
This thread is designed to provide a both a guide for installing the 3.03 OE custom firmware, and a place to ask for help in the process. I've done what I can to make this guide as safe and as easy as possible, and I'm quite confident that if you follow this guide, the process of upgrading to 3.03 OE will be quite simple and completely harmless. However, I must remind you that there is always the slight chance that something can go wrong in the installation process, and you'll be left with a non-functioning PSP. I haven't heard any reports of this happening if you follow the directions exactly, but there is always the chance. Understand the risks associated with running this update, and know that if something goes wrong, you have nobody but yourself to blame.
All the files you'll need to install this update are included in this thread, as well as instructions on how to use them. All of the common questions I've received have been answered to the best of my ability in the appropriate section below. If you need any assistance installing this update, please don't hesitate to ask. Either I, or some of the other users here, will attempt to solve your problem.
3.03 OE is created and developed by Dark_AleX
How to install 3.03 OE-C on a 1.50 or 3.03 OE PSP
1. Download and decompress 3.03 OE-C http://homepage.mac.com/kevinmacleod/303oe/303oec.zip
2. Copy the directories oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME/ if you are using 1.50, or to /PSP/GAME150 if you are using 3.0X OE
3. Download the 1.50 Upgrade Eboot http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=163, name it "150.PBP", and put it in the oeupdmaker folder.
4. Download the 3.03 Upgrade Eboot http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=11844, name it "303.PBP", and put it in the oeupdmaker folder.
5. On your PSP, run the 3.03 OE-C Update Maker program. This program will create a file called DATA.DXAR in the oeupdmaker folder
6. Copy the directories 303oeflasher and 303oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME if you are using 1.50, or to /PSP/GAME150 if you are using 3.0X OE
7. Move the generated DATA.DXAR from oeupdmaker to 303oeflasher directory
8. On your PSP, run the 3.03 OE-C Firmware Install program. Your battery must be 75% full
9. The program will display an agreement. Press X to accept and flash the custom firmware. Don't shutdown the PSP and don't remove the memory stick until the update is finished.
10. Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 3.03 OE-C
How to install the included PRX plugins
In addition to bundling the RECOVERY folder with this release of Dark_Alex' custom firmware, I also decided to include a few popular PRX plugins. This installation is simple, safe, and fast. It can't brick your PSP and it doesn't access flash. All of the files you need have been pre-formatted.
1. Download and decompress 3.03 OE-C (Jak_Master version)http://homepage.mac.com/kevinmacleod/303oe/303oec.zip, if you didn't just download it in the OE-C update procedure.
2. Copy the seplugins folder to your PSP, placing it on the outermost directory
3. Restart your PSP in recovery mode, then go to "Plugins" section of the recovery menu and enable whichever plugins you want to use
How to install the included Install-o-tron homebrew database
I decided to bundle my own customized version of the Install-o-tron homebrew database with this release of the firmware. This installation is simple, safe, and fast. It can't brick your PSP and it doesn't access flash. All of the files you need have been pre-formatted. This program allows you to download and install homebrew directly to your PSP from an online database; no PC required.

Q: I already have 1.50. Why should I bother upgrading to this? Is this better?
A: This firmware combines the homebrew freedom of 1.50 with all of the new features introduced in all of the firmware up to 3.03. Basically, you get the best of both worlds. Better, actually, since 3.03 OE-A includes brand new features like the ability to run games which you've backed up from your UMD to your memory card, corrupted data icon hiding, and a recovery menu to make your PSP effectively unbrickable. Simply put, this is the safest and most feature-rich firmware ever released.
Q: I have 3.03 OE-A or OE-B. Should I install the 3.03 OE-C update?
A: There isn't really a reason not to. The update includes fixes to the recovery menu, a CPU clockspeed selection option, support for full-screen video, better backup game compatibility, better overclocking support, slightly more ram in-game, . Nothing vital, but cool stuff nonetheless. And updating will take a total of 30 seconds, so I can't see a reason not to recommend installing the update.
Q: I have PSP with a TA-082 motherboard... can I use this firmware?
A: Yes, if you've already downgraded your TA-082 to 1.50 using Dark_Alex' downgrader.
Q: What are the limitations of using this firmware?
A: Compared with 1.50, there are no missing features. However, compared to the official 3.03 update, there are a few things absent here. This firmware doesn't include support for the Location Free player and it doesn't include support for the Korean language. Removing these features was necessary to free up space required to run homebrew.
Q: I have 2.71 or below. How do I downgrade to 1.50 so I can use this firmware?
A: ~ Universal 2.71 Downgrading Guide (compatible with every 2.71 PSP) ~
Q: I have 2.80. How do I downgrade to 1.50 so I can use this firmware?

Q: I have 3.03 or below. How do I downgrade to 1.50 so I can use this firmware?

Q: I tried this firmware, and I really don't like it. How do I downgrade back to 1.50?
A: Use the following procedure:
1. Download and decompress 3.03 OE-C if you do not have the original downloaded files already
2. Copy the folder RECOVERY from inside the "flasher for recovery" folder you just downloaded to /PSP/GAME/
3. Download the 1.50 Upgrade Eboot, name it "UPDATE.pbp", and put it in the RECOVERY folder
4. Start your PSP in recovery mode
5. In the Recovery menu, choose "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP". This will flash the 1.50 EBOOT to your PSP. Don't shutdown the PSP and don't remove the memory stick until the update is finished.
6. Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 1.50
Q: Alright, I updated. Can I delete the files and folders I used to install this update from my memory stick?
A: Yes, they've already done their job. Feel free to remove them all from your memory stick.
Q: How do I enter Recovery Mode?
A: Turn your PSP completely off by holding the power switch for several seconds. When you turn it back on, hold the right trigger until you enter the recovery menu.
Q: Alright, I'm new at this. How do I run homebrew?
A: To run homebrew, place the homebrew in a folder called "GAME150" which you must create inside the "PSP" directory of your memory stick.
Q: Some of my homebrew has these "Corrupted Data" icons! How do I get rid of them?
A: Restart your PSP in Recovery Mode. Choose "Configuration". Change the "Hide corrupt icons" to use be "Enabled". Restart your PSP.

thanks dude---i figured it out--u have to CREATE a folder under GAME and then save the eboot.php and key file of the converted iso there. im wondering how to do the UMD ISOs now? i heard u need to make an ISO folder in teh psp root--the way i read it is separate from the psp folder like how u do video---anyone help out?

you can easily create a video folder when you connect your psp w/ a usb cable. when the psp folder appears on your PC, just open it and add a new folder and name it video. it should in the same window next to the music and photo folders.
to upload videos onto your psp, they need to be in MP4 format for the psp to read and for you to see them on your psp. there are mp4 video converter programs across the internet (like pspvideo9, IMTOO psp converter, and PSP Video Express) - these are a few of them that are free. these programs let you convert any type of video format into mp4 format for the psp. then it can easily upload the videos into the psp for you.
to find one of these programs, just type in the name in a search engine and download the program you want (personally I like PSP video express).

Okay, thanks kavaboy...a few of my questions were answered in that "questions" post you made...however, I've a question of my own now. Let's say that I DO go from 1.5 to 3.03 OE-C...umm (not that I would want to)...can one go back to 1.5 from 3.03 OE-C? Also...how exactly does/will this 3.03 OE-C firmware work exactly? IE...hmm, let's say support is somehow (for one reason or another) dropped by whoever it is that made this new type of firmware (3.03 OE-C)...what will everyone do to keep up with newer and newer games that require a higher firmware? To clarify, I mean we'll all be stuck with this 3.03 OE-C firmware, right (if no more upgrades are released for it in the future, and if you can't go back to firmware 1.5 from it).

the OE-C firmware has a recovery option encase of accidental bricks, you can use that to go back to 1.5

Hi hello im noob in psp but im a fast learner can you please give me the info on how to put isos on my psp how much space do I need will a 1gb memory stick do the job snd i downgraded mine to a 1.50 do i need a 3.30oea,b,c to play games like tekken dark resurrection and vice city stories. the tekken D.R. has a psp_game file that has ove 1 gb of data so do I need a higher one sorry for having too many questions im such noob

Hi this a noob question. I got 3.03 running fine. I have the ISO's running fine. My question is how do I run Fastloader using 3.03? I tried creating the GAME150 folder and its not working for me. I dont know if I am supposed to be using the EBOOT.PBP or the to fastloader folders. Is there a better UMD ripper to use with 3.03? Thanks for the help...

@ lesigel ; as far as I know fastloader will not work on 3.03OEC try dax umd dumper just search for it I have had good luck with it.

Hi, i been using devhook 0.52 and its great and all but i cant seem to get call of duty to run even on the 3.11 firmware update for devhook 52 so if i wanted to go to custom firmware do i have to start from 3.03OEA and up or can i go straight to Custon Firmware 3.10OE as this will run call of duty and how do i load up these ISO'S on Custon Firmware? i have an original jap PSP 1.50 by the way. thanx in advance

Hi, well i've llonikg in the internet how to run the silent hill experience (umd video it is not a game) iso but i cant, and nobody can tell me how, some people just tell me to use the devhook, but i install it but then the screen goes black, so i´m once again stuck, i tried tu run UMDEmulator v0.8c but it appers as a corrupted icon, so I just dont knwo what to do please help, thanks, and I'm running CF 3.40 OE
