Interesting topic :-) Yes, I am the "boss" here..
AfterDawn has been a company ever since 2003 (before that, just an obsession for four years) and is owned by seven of the original founders, including me. And as it is a company, normal inheritage applies, so, if/when I die, my share of the company would go to my children.
Also, AfterDawn basically is a two-man dictatorship -- I'm the one planning for new features, handling business relations and business planning and doing my share of coding; meanwhile, Ketola makes sure the servers stay up, handles finances and pays the bills and handles day-to-day business issues, etc. And we both know pretty well the inner workings of the site.
So, the risk is somewhat spread even at the very top of this biz :-) And then, of course, we have an excellent team of admins, staff members and mods taking care of "everything else". So, you wouldn't really notice even if we'd both disappear for couple of months.

Really.... I call all the shots, I just play both dRD and Ketola constantly..... I structure my words in conversation with them to make it feel to them like things are "their" idea and that they are in charge.... but that is certainly not the case ;-) Basically, if I decide that AfterDawn is to be a pornographic site, i will subliminally send that message to dRD's head and it "will" happen.... he'll deny it, but deep down inside, he knows I have him...

If I where a betting' man I would say it was Dela or maybe Ketola, or could it be dRD? Damn I'm lost here :-)
Whoever it is keep up the great work, and yes I do believe we would all notice if you were to mysteriously disappear dRD.

dRD and Ketola are the two co-founders of the site, I think. They employ other admins, staff and mods to run the site. Admins help with the 'tech-ai' based stuff, staff write the news etc and mods.. well, we all know what they do. Dela was winding them up ;-)
