Don't downsize the images and post them again. Use the direct link. I need to see those images and they're too small to see the details.

You haven't had time to do it the way I suggested yet. You don't appear to want to pay attention to what I'm saying. If you don't, just say so, I'll excuse myself and you and Car.Mike can get back to discussing the situation.

Sorry.
I seem to be misunderstanding you.
What are you referring to?
The image or the sofware?
I do appreciate your trying to help btw

I did do what you suggested, (created the Ripped Movies folder) but the result is the same.

I still get the same error message of no directory being found...

The only guide I've been reading is the official guide found on the RipIT4ME website.

More importantly, I did set ALL my preferences to look exactly like yours, down to the name of the folder
except for the setting for the LOGS.

Here it is.

I am using the direct link from imageshack, but the image doesn't appear, so I'm just going to post a link.

Okay we're getting there. You've got the image thing down it seems. Now open your DVD drive (not play, but open)and take a capture of the files from the original DVD.

Normally if installed with the installer, FixVTS would have been in the RipIt4Me folder. It doesn't matter, but it appears installation didn't go quite by the book.

Does anyone see what I see? Note the file path on the Fearless movie I did and the Lost done by JJYkim. Instead of the path pointing to the Video_TS folder it is pointing to a file in the Video_TS folder, Video_TS.IFO. This may be the reason for the error.

----------------------------

@JJYkim
I'd like to see the capture taken after you run the software with the settings I suggested for Preferences. If that's it, the software is FUBAR.

Oh no.

My computer must've crashed late last night while it was ripping again.
I'll have to redo it this morning, and I'll post the screen cap.

Wow. Great job pointing the difference out.
I wouldn't have noticed.

I'll post it up as soon as it's done ripping.

What could be causing this problem?
and FUBAR means ? :\

Thanks Pacman for keeping up with me

btw- I dled FixVTS separately from RipIt4Me. Hmmm...

Yay. DVD Shrink actually worked.

So this is the screencap I got.

What do I do next?

Edit:
I see you didn't follow my instructions.

You would have had to use the Create DVD Files: Hard Disk Folder (in brown box below) to create a Video_TS folder on the hard drive. You will need a burner that will burn in File mode to burn that folder. My instructions, which you didn't follow, included using Create ISO Image File: ISO Image File and burn with ImgBurn (pictured in red box below)

This is strange. Cuz I made sure the target folder was ripped movies.
As you can see in the screen shot below, there are now 2 folders containing whatever was ripped from the dvd.

I swear I followed all your instructions, dude.

I edited my last post. In it you can see what you had to have done and what you should have done. I'm starting to get the impression you're messing with me or refusing to follow directions. There's no way you would get a Video_TS folder from an ISO selection with Shrink.

Now I understand what you mean.
Thanks for pictures. (it's worth a thousand words as they say)
With the luck I have with computers, it would've been days before I figured that out.

Here goes again.
DVD Shrink is encoding as we speak.

Thanks~

BTW, looking at your screen captures they make sense. Your source files are in Ripped Movies. The Shrink output is the C:\LST ON NT2. Without being there to see what you're doing, I have no idea how you once again got a path on the top of Shrink pointing to a file instead of a folder.

Read and comprehend http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html .
Along with that read the guides on DVD Shrink, here at AD, at Digital Digest, MrBass.org, Doom9, and DVDShrink.info (there's plenty, find one you understand best). ImgBurn is covered in detail here on AD, you can also check out the homesite for the software. You are getting output now, so it doesn't appear to be the software. It appears things are now in the arena of user interface.

You're welcome and don't forget to set the burn speed in ImgBurn. Note red boxes in capture below. Set speed and make sure path is correct. Leave rest of settings at default till you learn the program. Once initially set, the speed settings should remain the same till changed. Meaning you don't have to set it each time you use Shrink, but you need to the first time or you run at Max speed of your media.

Don't be surprised if I post again tonight.

Sorry but you are all wasting your time.
Get rid of the PC and buy a MAC. The new ones will run PC and Mac software. Then sign up to 'Mac the Ripper'. This will rip all your DVD's and is all ways being up dated, so as new protection codes are released, then the soft ware moves on again.
PC's and Vista are not the answer, anymore.

adbjm,
Only you must be the only one to have an updated copy of MTR as it has not been updated in a long while(last update 3/05). It can not handle the new encryptions. Besides why would I pay $2500.00 for a Mac when a $600.00 Windows OS computer will do the movie.

Below is the MTR site for you to see and learn from:

If I had the money I wouldn't waste it on a Mac. My statement meant I didn't believe the worth of the Mac and Car.Mike explained why. If a person is going to run PC software, and most of the best software is written for PC, it only makes sense to use the less expensive PC to do so. Mac has always been a niche computer. PC has proven to be mainstream. Unless you need a Mac to run Mac specific programs, such as some of the desktop publishing, there's no need to waste the money.
