no worries mate...if you have OE-C, its pretty damn hard to fully-brick your PSP...OE-C has recovery, so the only way that I know of; to completely brick an OE-C, is to delete a recovery prx or something...
you should be fine on that FW m8......cheers
mines is bricked do I just select the recovery from the main menu of the recovery?

@ ali and bigboss.
yous can both repair your psps through recovery mode. there are two ways.
1. downgrade to 1.50 by running the eboot which is accessed in psp/game/recovery mode.
2. reflash your OE firmware by getting your data.dxar and your eboot from oe flasher. (found this out through guano :D)
if you have never recovered your psp i would take the first option. as it is the easiest way and you can find tutorials all over the net. anymore ???'s just ask.

okay, well the chances are if you dont know, then you never put it in lol. you need to download a recovery folder. it contains a few files, also you need to download a 1.50 sony update, place it in the recovery folder with the name of "update.pbp" without quotes.

if you like, i will upload my recovery folder. then you are good to go. it works, i have used it at least 5 times. lol i always brick my psp. just ask if you want it uploaded and i will upload it with all the necessary files. that way all you have to do is put the folder inside X:psp/game . and you can downgrade.

If you already have the recovery folder in your game folder then reboot by holding the power switch in the off position(while you have it switched on of course) for abot 5 seconds. Then while holding down right shoulder switch the psp back on again. this will put you into recovery mode. From there you can run recovery.
If you dont have the recovery folder Look for any post by hexitnow. He has a link to his recovery winstaller in his sig.
BTW how did you get the semi brick?

I bet what happened is the same thing that happened to me. I didnt fully complete the 1.5 downgrade. And I was worried about it being bricked. I gave it to a friend to look at he hard booted/reset it or whatever and it was running 1.5. In short I would bet your were 90% finished the 1.5 downgrade and that when the girl at the store turned your PSP on the downgrade completed.
