Yes... would be best to uninstall the software first... then
reinstall it.

Hello me again:)

Just thought i would update u on my nightmare,
well I did uninstall my isp provider program, tried to re install and for what ever reason it failed??

Then I called the company that handles our computers at my workplace and discussed my problems with them , although they did not normally work on personal PCs they offered to look at mine after hours if I brought them my tower.

Well my computer hooked up and I explained all of the different scans that I had ran and it all looked good, then he went to check my internet options/ settings in the control panel and clicked on the connections tab, looked at the LAN settings and the proxy server box was checked which he nor I knew why, he said that was wrong? so he unchecked it and then my normal homepage pulled up and i could even check my email , if it is checked(turned on) it will not do either.
so i brought my tower home and hooked her up and checked my settings .
the proxy server was turned on again, i turn it off and i my internet is up and running like normal?/
now i have to figure out why this proxy server keeps turning itself on , when i log off my acct it resets itself every time.
ANY suggestions!

I was told that the box only needed to be checked if it was being used with a huge company or something like that/ he said it was very strange.
I'll get back up with him today.

oh well I am alot better off now than i was 2 weeks ago for sure, just thought i'd let ya know.

Thanks for all of your help anyway, I really appreciate it.

Yeah... typically that shouldn't be checked.

I'll do a little snooping... see if I can find anything about it.
