if you use the prog,there will be a menu where you can choose your game
al you need is a modded wii
the file itself is iso so you can burn it with Nero,imgburn etc

WiiUIv130 is the program I use to make a Multi-Disc.

It makes an ISO that you can burn to DVD just like any other GC or Wii game.

When you put the Multi-Disc into your Wii, Wiikey should start GCoS which will then give you a menu to boot the Multi-Disc. Then it loads the Multi-Disc up and you will get another menu with the list of games on that Multi-Disc. All you need to do is choose which game you want and push the Start button on the GameCube controller then it will boot that game.

You should be able to get 3 GameCube games on 1 DVD disc. If you want more then 3 on a disc then you will need to find a program (GCMUtility .05) That will delete the dummy file which is placed on the disc so it will reach the 1.35 capacity of the mini disc.

GC games are set at 1.35GB on the game disc. But the game itself is not 1.35GB of information.

Example:Sonic Hero's

The Game disc after a rip is 1.35GB

After running it through GCMUtility it is actually 1.15GB of information.

So there is a dummy file of approximately 200MB that is not needed when doing a Multi-disc DVD. Some Game disc could only have 700MB of information which then a dummy file of 650MB would have been deleted from the GC file.

As you can see doing this with multi-disc games would give you more space to add more game titles onto a Multi-disc DVD.

As I said above if you do not want to shrink the game data down then you can get 3 game titles on 1 DVD disc.

Below is a link to the WiiUIv130 program. I had to download both WiiUIv130.rar and COMDLG32.rar which is at the bottom of the webpage I linked to. Just extract WiiUIv130 into a folder then extract COMDLG32 into the folder you created for WiiUIv130.

http://psx-scene.com/forums/nintendo-wii...i-released.html

The shrinking method works great I now have 10 games on 2 DVD Multi-Disc. Will give me more room for the Wii games.

does shrinking a game mess up the original image?? if no done correctly or stopped? oh and the program to make mutidisk WiiUI, i just drag all my GC images like 4 and click that and it'll properly make me 1 image of all 4 games??? and then burn and use on my wii? with proper game titles, etc....???

I have made 2 mutli-disc DVD's already and every game has been shrunk and they all work. I booted them up and selected each game on the Multi-Disc and they all booted up and went past the title screen and played each for a few minutes.

here is a screen shot of the program...

When creating a Multi-Game disc with the GCoS Disc Maker follow the below instructions.

Choose what region you want the ISO to be in. PAL/USA/JAP

Choose the number of games you will be adding to the disc.

Now click on Create Disc

The first window that comes up is asking for you to name the Multi-Disc. So give it a name (Example: Mario Collection)

Now the next few windows that come up are for selecting the .iso or .gcm (The files will be .gcm if you shrink them) game file. After adding the number of games that you previously selected in the Number of Games options the program will then create the ISO image for you to burn to DVD and play on the Wii.

In order to use the multi-boot disc on your Wii you will need to have a Modchip that runs GCoS on it. Which I think most Modchips have GCoS. Plus if you are worried about shrinking the ISO then just put 3 GC game ISO on each disc.

Hi guys

Thanks all cheers Larrylje, I have got the wii playing cube games fine , i now understand there is a built in emulator menu program which allows you to selected what games to play and I have taken the dummy sector away and so on.. but i dont get why some games which are on the same dvd dont work, ganes such as,.. wario ware , mario tennis, mario golf toadstool tour, is it a case of i have some rubbish iso or gcm files?

thanks

keep mario golf toadstool tour as a full 1.35 ISO but Mario Tennis should be fine if you shrink it. Because mine works perfect. The only GC game I did have trouble with shrinking was mario golf toadstool tour but I kept that the full 1.35 Image without shrinking it and it works fine now.

I have these games on 1 Mutli-Disc DVD

Mario golf toadstool tour - do not shrink
Mario Superstar Baseball - shrunk
Mario Tennis - Shrunk
Super Mario Strickers - Shrunk
Disney Sports Basketball - Shrunk

The disc is working perfect.

sorry i get a green screen before a game boots up, then it will show the nintendo logo etc.. when i try toadstool golf etc the green screen remains? wierd.. also another question just to clarify i am running a PAL wii ( wiikey chipped) is it not better to run the wii on DVDR Discspeed 3x than 6x, and also would this quiten down the noise?

I would keep the speed at 6x

You could be having a problem booting the game with the wrong region. Is Toadstool tour NTSC? If so you will need to force it to play PAL on your PAL system.

I can't remember what button you push to force the game into PAL but when you select the game and click start a screen should come up that shows you a picture of the Nintendo GameCube controller and what button you can press to Force it in PAL/NTSC/AUTO Detect/PAL 50mhz

Toadstool is NTSC I Pressed the X button on the cube controller to confirm its PAL and I got the green screen and I alos tried it by confirming it was NTSC and still no luck. Im scared I might mess up my Wii as I ave tried alot of crap discs whcih have not read or turned up with disc errors.

@Raegos

I don't know what the problem can be. All I can say is maybe it is the Wiikey. There are lots of threads that say it is lacking compatibility with GameCube games. There is supposed to be a new update out anytime for the Wiikey. Maybe this will addresses those issues and fix it.

The only difference that I can see between my setup and yours is I use WiiD. I have finished my Multi-Disc collection today and have 50 games that are on 12 multi-disc. Every Multi-disc is working properly and all games are booting fine.

So I would update your Wiikey when the upgrade comes out and hope that resolves the issues you are having booting the Multi-Disc games.

@BrokexMan

I have not used the option to create a ROM disc. I am plaining on making 1 latter today so I will get back with you and let you know if I made it successfully or not.

WiiD is another Modchip. It has just recently been released like a few months.

@BrokexMan

I just created a ROM disc of SNES and it works perfect.

All I did was added the SNES ROMs to the ROM folder and choose SNES as the Emulator then create disc. It made an SNES.iso file to burn to disc.

I put the disc in the Wii and go to Disc Channel and click Start. The Emulator then boots up. I go to Load Emulator and choose what game I want and it loads the ROM. Then I click (B) button to start the game.

Worked perfectly

So I have no idea what your problem would be. You seemed to do it the same as I did. Does it say what error you are getting?

Hey. I have a problem. I downloaded the .gcm file of Sonic Adventure 2 battle. I converted it to .iso by renaming it. I used NTI to write it at 4x speed onto a 4.7 GB DVD-R. I put it on wii and the thing is that the screen comes up to be blank. I thought that this might be a problem with it being on HD and all so I put it off HD, but its still doesnt work. I know that its working because I can hear the beautiful background music and i just want to play it after sooo long and I spent like 3 days downloading the file. I dont even know what my wii,s modification is!! Please Help...Anybody???

Yooooo!
