I have TVersity with the PS3 patch and my PS3 is still not finding any media servers. My WMP sharing dosen't work for some reason and I'm having trouble installing Nero media home. (In an related note I think I have both a directx and a registry problem and I don't know how to fix them). Can anybody help me?

the ps3 should allow you to convert files that are on the hdd or an external. i have a few albums i added after i returned default settings and now they are in some lame sony format, that 3gp crap.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Its MP4 AAC wrapped in the 3GP container, just rename to MP4 and they will stream.

What is this Ps3 patch you talk about? I was able to play some video files with it, but not the files of the actual movie. Just menus, trailers and title screens. Im using Nero Media and its going through its so called indexing now. Its taking a while cuz I guess I have a lot of movies. I tried TVersity and uninstalled it cuz Nero sound like it does it all for you. Seems like Nero has more settings to configure but Im more familiar with Nero.

On the TVersity website they put a patch on the site to give the ability to play Xvids/Divx Link to patch info

Ive been able to play MOST moves, some xvids, all my Mpeg2 and all my music files....

yeah Ive been able to play all of my music. I tired Nero media and it worked great for a while. Now Im having a problem when I select video files, it doesnt have any audio. I played the same fileon the pc and it played jsut fine. Then I would get a message from the PS3 saying that I was denied to access the file or the connection was lost. Thats not the exact message verbatum (Im at work now) but when I go to my pc and make sure its still sharing, Nero media stops responding, and that would cause me to restart my pc just for it to open again, and share my movies from Nero. That defeats the purpose of watchig a movie from the PS3 esspecially since the entire movie is 3 separate files. once one is done, you have to click on the next file to play the reset of the movie. That sucks. But I will try this PS3 patch and see if that works. My movie files are in the VOB format ripped and compressed from the original dvd. Hopes this helps.

But before I do that, does TVersity play the movies files like your playing the actual dvd? Or would you still have to select the next file to play the rest of the movie?
(thats what I was hoping it would do, was play the movies as if you inserted a dvd disk in the drive instead of playing the files. WMP11 does this when you selct all the movie files to open.)

Why dont you just join the files into one complete .VOB file?
