Something else that may have caused this problem that I have have not mentioned is in step 7- "Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/. DO NOTOVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!", there was no EBOOT.PHP to overwrite in the first place.

May this play a factor in the failure?

When you say Lumines won't load do you mean when you are trying to do the step where you downgrade to 1.50 and what error is displaying when you try start it?

I assume you understand that when starting Lumines and pressing START when prompted it IS supposed to flash blue and go back to the XMB? At that stage is when HEN is running and you continue with the steps as indicated in the guide.

If you are talking about already downgrading to 1.50 and now you want to PLAY the Lumines game, then you need to remove the downgrade files. I suggest just formatting the memory stick.

I have psp 3.50 but heard the downgrade came out for it. And i heard u need a Liimunes UMD but cant seem to find one can anyone help me downgrade in another way.

There is no other way, you need lumines to gowngrade from 3.50.
