Why not eBay? Because it has custom firmware? I have seen loads of PSP's for sale with custom firmware-and they sell for a lot.

Otherwise you could try craigslist, or a similar online classifieds.

Selling a PSP with custom firmware does not violate ebay's policy on the selling of "piracy enabling devices". Firmware is software only, and as such is not considered a "device". Selling a PSP with a modchip (a physical device) would violate the policy and thus they would cancel the auction. PSP's are special in this way, as most other consoles/systems require some sort of physical mod and are banned from being mentioned (not sold) on ebay. So happy selling!

Since you have a slim-You will need someone with a pandora battery/memory stick to enlighten your PSP...
Unless you have a fat psp with custom firmware, you can make your own..But, you need a pandora to enable your slim to play downloaded games..

Follow the guide found HERE:

And as far as your pspblender goes, two words: Bit Torrent-
There, I just saved you $37, now use that to buy yourself a decent memory stick to load up with some ill-gotten games...

I downgraded to 1.5 thinking it would be safer to update it but i downloaded the eboot from sony and when i ran the 3.71 update it said "the system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. the update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance." Is there any way i can get the PSP in selling firmware? I dont want to sell with a custom firmware. Any help would be great. I do have a TA-082.
You would actually fetch more money if you sold it with a custom firmware installed-

It sounds like you have corrupted keys in your idstorage because of having the TA-082 motherboard-I am not sure which method you used to downgrade your psp initially, but thats whats preventing you from updating to official firmware...Try running Chilly Willy's
KeyCleaner to fix your registry...

Ive been told to get this program but never told how it works and what im supposed to do with it to solve this problem with the error message.. can some one help me

the only thing i know if is to create a pandora battery and magic memory stick so it upgrades to 3.71 M33. this way its CFW. then u should be able to downgrade to ur much desired firmware because they are both CFW M33 series...hope this helps.. xD

Newbie here,
Do I follow the same instructions for the firmware updates(And downgrades) to work on the red "God Of War" version of the PSP? I just got it as a gift and want to know if I can mod it.
Thanks

So do I post a question about what people personally use their CFW for and what firmware they use in this thread? Because I don't see any other place for it and it seems rather silly to place it in this thread. Obviously I tried to create a thread asking said questions, but it was closed. I also can't seem to find a PM feature here to ask the question to the person who closed the thread. :/

Try using the search function in the forums next time rather than posting to a thread that is 4 months old. Custom firmware or 'CFW' is whats used to run homebrew and provides you the capability of playing iso psp games from your memory stick. If you need further explanation, again use the search function, or google it.

I obviously used the search function, how else do you think I found this 4 month old thread? The only reason I posted in this one was because I couldn't find any with the search function that was specific to the questions I was asking and they closed the thread that I tried to start on what I wanted to ask saying look for existing threads. Yet not one thread covered my specific questions and this was the only thread I could think might have fit a bit. Also, what you just said has nothing to do with what I was trying to ask, I already know what CFW is/does, I was asking what people personally do with theirs. IE, Do you use it for just playing games, or do you like to be able to run emulators? Some people might not like emulators, some people might just want to use them for playing games they don't have to pay for. Some people might prefer saving their games to their computer so that they have backups. Everyone is different, hence the question.
