Hey zach3493, your proctologist called. He said he found your head.
Anywho, the special battery is called a JigKick, which has the 3rd connecter pin and a flash memory chip in it with a firmware file on it. When combined with a memory stick which has special .prx's on it, it can write whichever firmware is on the battery flash chip.
Nothing personal letsmod, but I seriously doubt you have one, because you would have had to make it yourslef.

Oooo, so you have the fabled JigKick? If you want to know more then read about it here zach3493. It can't really be confirmed as a real device or not, there are videos about it but they lack credibility. Apparently a couple of people have managed to make their own or something, i'm not too knowledgeable in this area so i might be wrong...
There will never be a downgrader for version 3.52 (I may also be wrong about this) but the most likely thing that will happen is the next downgrader will be for something along the lines of 4.00 judging by the last few downgraders and their spacing along the timeline. There would be no rational reason to make a firmware downgrader 0.02 away from the last one.
EDIT: Haha, i just noticed you beat me lol, i'm sloooow. Hey again mrmcman :)

I'm not saying you couldn't, just saying it seems that everyone is waiting specifically for a 3.52 downgrader, and to not expect one...

They may find an exploit that works. Remember the Illuminati exploit for 3.5? No one thought 3.5 could be downgraded.

^^Too bad that exploit was ported from the 1.51 downgrader. And, the 3.03 downgrader was ported from the eLoader downgraders. Face it, we exhausted all of our last resources. We need a new exploit, which will take YEARS.

There will be a downgrader no matter what, it's a fact. It can be a week, a month, a year, but there well be a downgrader. If someone can make it, other people can crack it. its that simple. I dunno if this site will work, i just found it. I dont need a downgrader at the monent so go try this one out.
http://0dayaccess.com/dl_full_version_cr..._Downgrader.htm
I dont even know if its for psp lol. Just found it.
If it can be make, it can be destroyed.

i wouldnt waste the time on downloading that either. I can tell you this much, it's probably not even for the psp. anyhow before someone creates a downgrader for the PSP they first have to find an exploit in the firmware that will allow execution of un-signed code. We would have heard about the exploit before the downgrader came out.

Even if a exploit is somehow found now, I believe it's better to keep it in the dark. Wait 'till slims with 3.6 are out and see if the exploit can be applied to that.

Don't you think Sony would be using TA-082's in their new hardware?

Why would they be using TA-082, they're old motherboards now, and don't you think they'd be making totally new ones anyway?

Well yes, but so would a new motherboard (even more so), and TA-082 is now easily patched to allow downgrade.

I think the new PSP will be impossible to downgrade. Most likely, Sony will use a new motherboard for the new models; therefore, it's possible that version 1.50 will not be recognized. I mean, if the motherboard's starting firmware is 3.60, then it will be impossible to go back to 1.50 since 3.60 is it's starting firmware... See what I'm saying? >_<

That doesnt make sense because you can have a PSP with a 3.11 starting firmware and downgrade it. Or something higher then 3.11, up to 3.50. As for the new PSP's not being able to B downgraded, never say never. It'll just b more difficult. its going to be p-retty hard for sony to be able to create an un-exploitable firmware.

If you're so smart, make one yourself. There's no 3.51 or 3.52 downgrader because we need an exploit in the firmware that allows access to flash0, enabling us to alter the homebrew kernel. Once that is altered, we can make a HEN, which ultimately leads to a downgrader.
Quote: it sucks man and i am ****** i upgraded this thing to 3.52 and now jus tplay songs videos, and pic and games
Well, it was your own noobish mistake, then, wasn't it?
Quote: aint any home brew for 3.52 till now i guess,
Till now? That would mean there is homebrew on 3.52, which there isn't.
Quote: yeah it really sucked and this thing is useless
just my opinion, hope there's 3.52 homebrew.....!!
And I'm sure the opinion of every 3.52 owner in the country...
Anywho, it is useless. Next time, do not upgrade.
OMG!!! Look! I used the search button to answer a question!

...And many more, I'm sure. This is what ticks me off. People need to start a new thread for a question already answered at least 8 times already.
And, one last thing: Don't blame the downgrader makers for not making a downgrader. What they do is entirely voluntary. They can choose what they do, when they do it. It is your fault for going past 3.50, which a downgrader was JUST made. They need a break, let them have one.

I'm saying, since it's a new motherboard, 3.60(or whatever firmware it will come with) will be it's original firmware, and not 1.00 like the old models. I know it's kinda hard to understand... I just don't know the right words to explain it properly. XD
