Oh my god. This is great. Actually no. I kind of wanted the noobs to get what they deserve for bricking. Especially those 12, 13 year olds that are trying to be young hackers. Sorry, im just pissed i bricked from a semibrick and had to ebay that s***. I'll be happy if i full brick again. DAmn, props to the Prometheus team!
p.s. You cannot use the same 'modified' battery. Im not sure about the memory stick. After all that, you cant use a 32mb duo either. Who would need one anyway!? haha

My Firmware is 3.52 not custom... does Pandora works w/ this firm..?
also when i bought my PSP its original firmware was 2.82 does this mean that my PSP would be back to 2.82 not 1.5? if i used this Pandora... because it said on the instructions the requirements in using Pandora was this:,,,,... - A PSP with a Custom Firmware such as OE, M33 or WC, or a PSP with the 1.5 original kernel.
also it mention there that "Copy the 1.50 official updater as UPDATE.PBP to the root of the Memory Stick." where can i get it?
and what is flash dump? delete?
SOrry for asking noob question. i just want to make sure. dont want to make mistakes again like upgrading to 3.52... Thanks a lot for the help.....

I'm also wondering if you can use this as a downgrader for 3.50+ or if it just works for homebrew-able psps.

I hope your not trying to do this when you are running official firmware??!! Where in the article did you see anything about this being able to just downgrade your firmware? You need a psp that is already homebrew-able for this program to work...So find someone that has a psp that has 1.50 or cfw to make this program for you, then you can use it on your psp...

What if i bricked it using a downgrader like this on the image

then unbricked it with Pandora. Does this work?

Yes, that will work-however, you need to first setup the unbricking program from a PSP that already has 1.50 or cfw...Once you have the modified battery and the files on the memory stick...You can then take the modified battery, and the memory stick and place them into your bricked PSP and proceed to unbrick your 3.52...
EDIT**Perhaps this will help you better understand what needs to be done...This is from the readme file that comes with the pandora program:
REQUIREMENTS
- A spare PSP Battery. Any make will do. Using a spare is best, as it
will not be possible to boot the PSP in its normal state with the
modified battery.
- A spare Memory Stick Pro Duo of less than 4Gb. (256Mb should be
enough for all applications).
- A PSP with a Custom Firmware such as OE, M33 or WC, or a PSP with
the 1.5 original kernel.

This is what i am confused about..!! 1.5 original Kernel. does mean you need this firmware. when you bought the PSP. because when i bought mine it was 2.82...

Thats the firmware you need in order to put this program together..Either 1.50, or custom firmware..This program is intended for someone that is currently running 1.50 or a custom fw...You are not going to be able to use this because you have 3.52, and if your psp is currently bricked, you would not be able to run the eboots anyway..

damnnn i woke up to late and osme 1 already posted this!! lool.
@smurff
you posted that u need an extra battery... this is ant true because you can use your own battery and convert it into a jigstick to use the pandora then convert back to a normal battery.
Also jojiit21
on CF 352 its simple.... you just read the readme and if u wanan go dwn to 1.50 then just put the 1.50 eboot in the root and choose to boot the 1.50 eboot.
Also if any one wants to just try it to see if it works go ahead.. i didn have a bricked psp but i still converted ma battery to a jigstick to see if it was for real and hellz yh it is! then converted it back obviously!
Also works on ALL mobo TA-082+ and it patchs idstorage for those who are wondering.. so ALL psps can go dwn to 1.50!
Also smurff should edit his title because this is a unbricker and downgrader for any FW including ALL future releases!
Quote:
Quick guide to converting your battery written by jas0nuk
If you only have one battery and want to unbrick your PSP, you can.
1) Convert your battery into a jigkick one using "Pandora's Battery Creator", but before you press X, press TRIANGLE to backup your battery's EEPROM to ms0:/eeprom.bin
2) Unbrick your PSP as normal
3) When you are done unbricking, take out the battery and the magic memory stick. Start up the PSP using the AC adaptor (do not try to use a USB charger, it will not start up)
4) Insert the magic memory stick and the magic battery
5) Run "Pandora's Battery Creator" again
6) Press L+R to restore the ms0:/eeprom.bin to your battery
NOTE: You can also restore a battery without having made a backup, by pressing SQUARE at step 6. This will generate a fake serial for your battery (0x12345678) which allows it to work normally, but there could be side-effects.
Have fun, and thanks to everyone in the Prometheus/C+D team.

You guys need to get hold of a second PSP, that has either 1.5 or CFW. Use that PSP to make a Pandora Battery, then run it on your 3.52 PSP.

touran's alive!!!
i was just stating what was stated when i first read and posted it here, the damn thing only had 3 or 4 comments on psp-hacks.com before i supplied the links, so i hadn't done anything with it, and i haven't a need for it at the moment.....
but yeah, if ur on 3.51 u could do an upgrade to 3.52 and then brick it by interrupting the upgrade. (in theory, i've not tried this)
if u've got 3.52 i'm not sure how you'd get it to brick, unless they release a 3.53 soon and brick it during that process.....only time will tell if sony will make an upgrade quickly, and they can't really seal this hole quickly like with previous holes, so hopefully they won't try cuz i think they'd have to redo a whole lot of crap since it's similar to the technique they use, or is the same technique they use.....
title is updated.

you don't need to brick it to DG, just use the battery to DG straight away
you need a Duo Pro MS (>=256MB)
you can restore the battery back to a normal one after the process (use power chord to boot psp)
