here's a compatibility list of homebrew on the psp:

urthermore, there is an ongoing compatibility thread with working and non-working PSP Slim homebrew?

Any Ideas for these:

* SNES9xTYL 0.4.2 I?ve tried the non-me version doesn?t boot
* SNES9xTYL 0.2 C Doesn?t boot (non-me)

Not Running at all:

* Bookr - Book Reader
* Devhook 0.46
* DGEN for PSP Ver1.70 (Genesis)
* DOSBOX
* NesterJ NES Emulator 1.11RM runs but will not open zip files
* Final Fantasy 1 runs fine, when left after starting another it froze
* PSPLINK v3.0 OE
* PSPLINK 2.0 Final
* PSP Kanji

Running:

* Daedalus R12 (1.00 version not 1.50)
* Final Fantasy VII (7) pops!! fighting swirl included! Loaded from 3.52M33 Save file and saved to save file (reloaded after restart)
* Final Fantasy IX
* Final Fantasy Tactics
* Gameboy RIN GB/GBC 1.32RM works good so far
* gpSP 0.9 for TA-082 / HEN-D ran about 5 roms and all loaded fine no freezing
* Hexaxis XXI
* NesterJ NES Emulator 1.11 (1.00 version not 1.50) unzips zips
* PSPtube
* Sony NP9660 works (ICE SO)

I was wondering if ISOs will be supported by M33 3.60.
It says in the readme file that everything M33 3.52 does will be supported except what needs the 1.50 kernel - the question i guess is: Do ISOs need the 1.50 kernel to run?
I don't really want to run homebrew just ISOs.
Will this be possible with M33 3.60 on the Slim.
Thanks.

Yes, the slim will play isos perfectly using the 1.60 CFW.

No, not without having the 3.60 M33 firmware installed, which is something you can only do if you have access to an original PSP. You can't play downloaded isos, or run homebrew, without the custom firmware.

I guess you should have thought of that before you got a slim then, sorry. Maybe this friend of yours will let you borrow his PSP so that you can do the installation? Other than that, I doubt that any stores will be any help. You have to create a pandora's battery and memory stick to upgrade a slim.

What do you mean? You create pandora's with any version of firmware as far as I know with the fat PSP. As long as you friend has a batery and a memory stick you can use, you can do it. Other than that, there's not much you can do unless the shop you got it from will let you use one of their fat PSPs, a battery and a memory stick.

Not true, you need a fat PSP with either 1.5 or Custom firmware to create the pandora battery. The memory stick can be created entirely through a easy to use GUI in Windows. But the battery creation requires Homebrew capabilities.

OK, fair enough. In that case, unless you can convince your friend to dwonagrade his PSP temporarily, I can't see much way of you getting custom firmware onto your slim.

I created the Pandora Battery and Memory stick using the fat psp but the fat psp's battery doesn't work in the Slim PSP when it's inserted. I just get a blank screen when i turn the slim psp on.

sorry if someone has asked and answered this question but,will this work on the "old" PSP?I've been going out recently and wasn't on my PC for a while until i found out 3.60M33 was released.i gotta know if 3.60M33 works on the old PSP...Here's reasons i wanna know:

1)so i don't waste time by putting something on my psp if it doesnt work

2)so i know IF 3.60 actually works on the "old" PSP

3)Finnaly...i wil complain to Sony(if 3.60 doesnt work on old psps)or complain to M33 that they didn't make 3.60m33 for old psp's...

sounds quite nooby eh?well i need to know.thanks guys :)

don't know if that makes sense but still, please try to answer my question :).

from 3.60 m33 README...

Q: is M33 gonna make a 3.60 cfw for the fat psp's?
A: The firmware as it is flashed in the slim psp's is only for psp slims. Whenever sony releases
an updater, we'll support both, fat and slim psp's, but we are not gonna make a custom firmware
using 3.60 slim dump, because it is not done for the fat psp

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

If you don't have an ISO folder simply create it on your memory stick.
x:\ISO where X is your memory stick drive letter.
M33 should create it's own ISO folder when you format your memory stick using the PSP - but if you got files on the MS (i.e Magic Memory Stick Files) make sure you either don't want them or have a backup copy.

Let us know if it works for you.
