OK, this has been one ANNOYING task but I have managed to work out how to get Bookr working on my Slim PSP running CFW 3.90 M33-3.

Due to lack of comprehensive instruction, I have compiled some info for those with the same set-up as me. (This will probably work with other versions too.)

Firstly, the good news is that there is a Bookr out there that supports 'Allcfw 3.xx'! YES!!

The other thing to remember, is you will still need to download and install 'Bookr 0.7.1' on your PSP. (The Allcfw 3.xx is just an addition which overwrites the original files.)

OK, I decided to cut this process out for you and upload the converted file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?nhnzs2kn03w

Once downloaded, simply extract the contents to your PSP memorystick via USB connection - mso:PSP/GAMES folder. Then place your PDF's in the mso:PSP/GAMES/__SCE__bookr/BOOKS folder and you're good to go!

Run 'Bookr' the normal way you would open your games. That's it!

Hope it works for you!

UPDATE!: OK, I decided to try a few things. It won't matter if you downloaded already, but I erased the Bookr files from my PSP and thought I might try installing the 'Allcfw 3.xx' folder once again and to my surprise it actually work.?????
Anyway, instead of extracting it out from the .rar straight to the PSP, I extracted it out to the PC desktop, then dragged the folder onto my PSP.
I'm not sure if the way I was extracting straight to the PSP caused it not to work, but doing the later seems to have worked.

Just something to keep in mind!

G'day mate!

Not sure! You can certainly try, but I think the software is compiled to work with CFW only.

If I were you, I'd definitely install the CFW. This will make it SO much better and really bring your PSP to life!

This is the CFW i used. Just follow each video (3parts) and you'll be good to go. Also, get yourself a Pandora battery. You'll need it anyway. All is explained in the video's.

ok, well i didn't follow the development in modding for the slim, since it was to much hassle still when i got mine.
so if i get it right, i can now just buy a tool battery from the net that will install the custom firmware to my slim? without needing anything else?

No, you will need the specific files (downloadable from the youtube link I posted above.)to load into you PSP as well as the Pandora battery. Pandora battery is hardcoded with the information to switch the PSP into recovery mode which will allow you PSP to accept the changes(CFW). The funny thing is, you'll only need it for a few seconds to do this switch. Oh, and a memory stick of course, to hold the information.
Once done, your PSP will become another animal!
If all this sounds dawnting, don't worry. I'm not very smart and even I was able to do it following the youtube tutourial. You won't go wrong!
So, watch the vid's, download the necessary files, buy a Pandora battery - (There is a FAT and SLIM version. I had to get the FAT version because they were all out of SLIM but that doesn't matter. Just hold it in with your fingers or some tape.) >>>http://www.modsupplier.com/catalog/datel...tery-p-221.html and an 8GB memorystick. (Don't bother with 2 or 4GB because you'll soon fill it up fast!) 8GB sticks are reasonably priced, so you'll save in the long run, then you'll be set to rock your PSP!!!!
Trust me man, you won't look back and you UMD drive will become storage for lose change. lol!!

Sorry to hear mate! Depending on what you intend to use the CFW for (I mainly use it for games) then you could try downgrading to 3.90 M33-3. I know the latest and greatest is always good to have, but if it causes issue's with software you really want to use then downgrading should be considered. Plus, it's not a big downgrade anyway.
Saying that, I have no plan to upgrade at this stage because all the games I've aquired work without any problems.

G'day mate!
