This random behaviour usually indicates a bad chip but doesn't exclude a bad install. The inability to boot originals is usually because the modchip fails to detect the original game (bad install or bad chip) and sends the emulated protection/masking even if the game is original.

I discovered I have a prerelease D2CKey which is why some titles don't work or crash randomly btw.
