What it comes down in some cases to is even though this was ripped successfully there is still some structural problem on the dvd that Shrink can't handle.
Try turning off the video preview option - that works in some cases.
Interesting. I will give it a try.

Might do the trick - has for some.

If you have Nero you might also want to try Recode.

Then there's the option of doing movie only.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I decided to get real and obtain AnyDVD HD & DVDClone 2. Wow!!!!! Holy Heavy Recommendations my Best Burning Buddies!! This stuff ROCKS and so COOL to use!

I guess it's only fair cause time marches on and facing facts Shrink like the late GREAT (:-( RI4M are sadly dead weight. Kudos to the peps at SS!

Thanks Again,

Hi all, had the same prob. Found the solution, in using shrink, use reauthor mode and then use the start and end frames (next to the big X on the DVD compliation line) At the beginning edit past the "Picturehouse" avatar and edit almost to the beginning where J.Lo sttarts. At the end, edit out the last 10 seconds or so. THis should allow shrink to do it's thing. I believe that they somehow placed in a subroutine that does not allow shrink to dump its data into the memory file and then shrink uses up all the Ram memory -- out of memory (use the task manager to verify). Found a similar prob in the movie BUG also.

As a side note, ripped El Cantante to HDD and cleaned up with fixvts and VobBlanker. Used imgburn to make iso file in build mode and burned to DVD-9 with imgburn. No probs

ok guys, this worked for me very well. first i used dvdfab platinum (either the latest full version or the link for the beta works fine)copying just the main movie. dvdfabs first task(which is copy to hard drive) works great, however when it comes to task two it stops and gives error message. thats ok. just exit out of dvdfab and open clonedvd 2. select the second option (clone dvd). then browse for the folder on your hd. steps(my computer/local c drive/documents and settings/owner/my documents/dvdfab/temp/main movie/el cantante/video TS) select the video TS folder and in about 21 minutes you will be backed up.

It would seem that Slysoft and DVD Fab still have some work to do on the way they fix the corrupted cells during the rip. The newer versions of Fab has been causing problems for both Shrink and DVD Rebuilder.

Ripit4Me and DVD Shrink IMO are far from dead weight!

Ripit4Me continues to work very well for me even on movies Fab has been causing problems.

I have with success. The only issue is that you have to burn "movie only". For some reason the previews and menus cause it to run up the ram to over 2gb.

A lot of encryption is sometimes buried in the 'extras.' Fairly common tactic.

Well that post doesn't help with the topic of the thread.
But I liked the movie.
Anyhow let's not turn this into a movie review thread.

My wife just bought this movie. I'm having the same issue that MR was. I can't find the Video_TS folder in the DVD. Shrink won't open it. I have AnyDVD 6.3.0.3 Ripit4Me won't do it, and neither will CloneDVD 2.

I'm looking for the DVD Fab Platinum to download. But if that fails, what's my next move?

Thanks

When I put the DVD into my computer, this is the error I get:

Sonic DLA Drive (E)
Invalid directory entry has been encountered. Some content may be lost or inaccessible.

DVD Shrink says "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read file "E:\"
Incorrect function"

RipIt4Me says " There does not seem to be a DVD in your selected drive."

Grrrrr!

Check and see if the movie will play in your standalone player(s).

I've seen a slew of people with bad presses lately.
