Lets hope its still not analouge then as you need a digital feed although you are picking up MMDS frequencies, thats why I am confused, i.e. is it MMDS,analogue cable or digital cable, best bet is to ring N** and ask them what service they provide in your area and this will give you a definite answer.

Yes I have a Eurovox MAX 2008, sorry for confusing you. I'm new to all this stuff. I pay for one N*L connection which is coonected to one of the TV's. This has the basic terrestrial package RTE1 and 2, Setanta Ireland, SKY News, BBC1/2, UTV/c4 etc around 15 channels. There a plug in the wall I connect it to no receiver of any sort. So I persume its analog feed but I'm nearly certain that Dunboyne is a MMDS area. Is what I'm trying to do here possible i.e connect the eurovox to the feed that I already have conneted by N*L or do I need maybe a analog to digital convertor or something, but this still doesnt explain how I can get 94 channels be it for a short time.

Strange indeed as it does sound like an MMDS list, do as I said and ask N** what they are providing you with or even better just say you are a new customer thinking of taking the service and what will you get.

We're in a n*l cabled mmds area, apparently there's a shared ariel somewhere. I brought the eurovox down to a neighbours house who has n*l digital receivers but I had the same problem, loosing the signal after around 10 minutes.I did notice that when I click the yellow button from the menu, it brings up the nagra page. This keeps on resetting itself when the box is powered down. Any idea how I get into the emu on a eurovox max so that I can set the keys permanently?.

tks

Have you tried turning on the signal booster built in with KURO

If you live in a low signal area and have weak signal problems with poor results when scanning or picture breaks up when watching.

Go to Menu /Config / Settings /Signal Booster

The Default Settings Off

Switch On/

Press Blue button to Save & Exit

Also press menu > user Installation > p/w = 1004 > And post what frequencies are in the list

As you have a communal feed the signal may be quiet weak, try a booster to see if it can improve your signal.

I know its documented on this forum that the Eurovox Max can be used with N*L mmds. Is it a case that I have the wrong box, should I be using the Eurovox TX instead. What's the fundamental difference between the two receivers. I know the mx is for cable and the tx is for mmds so maybe this is the problem.

N** MMDS use a DVB-C variant so the Eoruvox Max V is fine as it is for DVB-C. Ch**us MMDS use a DVB-T variant hence why the TX is required as it has a T type tuner.

I believe you need a Eurovox TX for Chorus mmds. If you do a auto scan with the Eurovox Max you should pull in all the transponders that are available in you area. Failing that you may need the TX instead.

This will work on True Cable Chor*s

if you have Chor*s MMDS you can use Eurov0x TX

Since I started this thread relating to problems I had setting up the Eurovax Max in a N*L mmds area, I just wanted to give you all an update on what I had to do to get all channels without any loss of signal etc. I basically went for a dfferent box "Dreambox 500C". When I received it, it had a uk image so I had to load up a N*L Dublin image and it worked a dream. I had no signal loss at all. I didn't use any boosters, new splitters or any other gagets to get it to work. Its a mistery as to way the Eurovox MAx won't work in my area.Anyways I'm sorted now (also got rid of the eurovox to the brother in law, so he's happy as well), tks to everyone for their help.

no sorry, did you try doing a auto scan?.The box should be able to pull in all available transponders. Make sure you use the symbol rate for Ch***s and not N*L.

Yes i used the chorus frequncies i was given.
I did the power scan and no channels came eg TP.000 after i tried the scan.
The box seems to be working i just can get the channels.

When it is scanning 0 / 250 and channels are showing some are good quality on my box, does it mean their shud be channels there straight after the scan?
