Despite widespread rumors that it had been delayed, Samsung says it is shipping its BD-UP5000 dual-format HD player and that it will be retailing for cheaper than previously announced. A Samsung spokesperson said that due to "recent activities in the marketplace," the player's suggested retail price has been dropped to $799 USD, a $200 price cut from the original price announced in September. ... [ read the full article ]
