do what larry said, if it keeps saying that error, i think u should use Pandora OS Tool 0.4. Are u sure the psp is running a custom firmware?

This guide HERE is the same guide that your using but I modified the Pandora Battery part for users using custom firmware PSP.

It might be helpful to use that guide instead. Follow it using your uncles custom firmware PSP.

or you can try the steps I gave on the previous page to get the Pandora battery Creator to start.

a simple way to enter recovery mode, is by pressing SELECT , or HOME, in the main menu of the PSP.I dont know sure if u have that option on ur uncles cfw psp, but u can try. Search for RESET DEVICE. while the psp is resetting, hold R trigger.
But im not sure if u have the RESET DEVICE option, so.....

You might need to do a blind install of the custom firmware if your using a SLIM.

Place magic memory Stick into the PSP. Then place the Pandora Battery into it.

The green power led light should come on. Then the WiFi/memory Stick leds should blink a few seconds.

After they stop blinking press X and the WiFi/Memory Stick lights should start blinking again. this is an indication that the custom firmware is being installed.

After the lights stop blinking press X to shut down the PSP (the PSP might shut down automatically after the install anyway).

After the green power led turns off replace the Pandora battery with the normal battery and you are now finished with 3.71 M33-2 to the PSP.

you have official firmware, and need to install custom firmware, which in your case would require pandora's battery
