Come on folks lets ease up on each other, please? In a world full of ugliness the last thing we need to do is spread it here. Gwendolin voiced her opinion and others have voiced theirs too and thats cool but there's no reason to get mean on each other over something like this. It's not worth it.

At my present level of drunkenness (Grolsch is Mother's Milk!!!) I'm surprised and rather frightened I made such a sentimental hippy-esque post like my last one. I just reread it and it almost made me puke. Maybe I need to start sniffing glue again.........................

theres one way to solve the bitching problem get rid of the quote,color etc.toolbar ban all sigs/profiles etc. make everyone a member no newbies aDa etc. dump the SV and make it a tech ONLY fourm. making things personal on a tech forum isn't cool. remember people be INDIFFERENT thats the key. the elitist/better than I attitude isn't cool either

This is NOT a personal attack at you in any way, I just used your thread as an example...there are many members, including Newbies who are doing the same thing...it's only an opinion that I hold so if you think you are using it correctly then far be it for me to say otherwise.
@Varnull,
No use stocking up on any further popcorn for as far as I am concerned the matter is now a non event, I have made my thoughts quite clear.

I certainly don't agree with your view of using the quote feature, being a bad habit. I just don't understand your thought process.

It is useful when replying to a specific question granted.. But some times it gets so that there are 15 posts embedded in it, and then it's just plain stupid..
just an aside.. aren't you windows kids glad you don't have to wade through things like this looking for information??

IT provides the dts.h header file the compiler is missing here. If you really installed the lib, check, where the header file is located and provide its path to the mplayer configure with --with-extraincdir . Otherwise google for libdts. Sorry, I don't have an URL by hand! You need the libdts development files, which maybe shipped or not depending on the distro your use. For example, on Debian, you only need to install the libdts-dev package (apt-get install libdts-dev) Thanks, Philippe From comte at interia.pl Sun Feb 27 23:22:34 2005 From: comte at interia.pl (Michal Lorek) Date: Sat Mar 17 17:21:43 2007 Subject: [MPlayer-dvb] libdts In-Reply-To: <20050227214010.8C5112297@philou.gramoulle.local> References: <200502261444.57353.comte@interia.pl> <20050227214010.8C5112297@philou.gramoulle.local> Message-ID: <200502272222.34726.comte@interia.pl> Hello! thank you very much for all replies! This is NOT a personal attack at you in any way, I just used your thread as an example...there are many members, including Newbies who are doing the same thing...it's only an opinion that I hold so if you think you are using it correctly then far be it for me to say otherwise.
@Varnull,
No use stocking up on any further popcorn for as far as I am concerned the matter is now a non event, I have made my thoughts quite clear.
I certainly don't agree with your view of using the quote feature, being a bad habit. I just don't understand your thought process.
This is just what I am referring to, you have added my post as a "quote" and now I have added your post as a "quote"...now's it's a long space wasting post!!
Now if somebody feels the urge to come along and "further" the "quote" when will it end and as I said, whats the point.

In this case I started with a quote to point out who I was talking to, in case someone hit the post button before me. I hate it when I type something, hit post and find someone else beat me - then I have to go back and edit because now my words mean nothing in the context of the new topic.
