It is very true about the racism (sectarianism is a form of racism) that is part and parcel of Rangers F.C. Celtic does not extend that same sort of racism and generally has a more welcoming atmosphere to people of all paths of life.
ilepak i hear what you are saying, and for the most part agree with you. My comments were meant more for sports commentators as similar personalities in the sporting/press world. The general decent English man is not as arrogant or irritating as that. My own nationallity is Irish, born and living in Belfast, though i have a British Passport as well. I really havent got any bad views about the Brits, ones that are Racist anyway. What does irritate me is those that hold on to the past and not letting the rest of the world move forward. Take good old Ian Paisley as mentioned in the joke (which is a good one). He is a bigot, he doesnt want equal opportunities and he openly discredits other national parties working for peace. You would think that Sinn Fein was the only political party that represented the views of a paramiletary organisation. In fact, there are others, on the uniost side, that also represent these types of people. Yeah the term Sinn Fein IRA is always applied by bigots like himself and his false political party. However, that is an opinion held by me and i most also respect the opinions of others.
I know this is getting off topic now, but if you go into the Falls (a nationalist area of Belfast) you will see lots of murals that depict children playing, fields, and other nice things - with the odd scribble IRA somewhere. If you go into the Shankhill (Loyalist Belfast) you will see murals depicting violence and attrocaty. That is what we grow up with here.
Sorry to go off topic...
