I have just finished downgrading my son's PSP and this is how i did it.
First i ordered the Datel Tool battery so i would not have to hard mod my son's battery. I got it from here. http://us.codejunkies.com It was the cheapest i could find without having to wait weeks for. Then i downloaded this file ( http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=14749 )(to set up my memory stick without any CFW PSP) and ran it on my windows xp computer. THIS WILL NOT WORK ON WINDOWS VISTA!! When my battery came in, I put in my newly created (magic)memory stick in the psp and the Tool battery and let it run. (note: make sure your PSP is starting from power off mode and not in sleep mode) When it was done i had a PSP with CFW 3.71 m33 on it. Now I'm trying to find a way to update it to the 3.90 m33 CFW which should not be too hard.

Hope this helps all of you who wants CFW on your PSPs.
