Update

I used the following settings with perfect results...NO complaints of DVD incompatibility.

Taiyo Yuden 16x DVD+R Discs
Output VIDEO_TS to HD folder from DVD Authoring software
Burned VIDEO_TS files with IMGBURN as recommended by you all
Burn Speed: 8x
Booktype set to DVD-ROM

keith, it was probably a combo between the Ritek media (which is mid-grade stuff) and the high burn speed you used. using the TY or Verbatim DVD dash R burning at 8x will work fine also

Will definitely not work on one of my players...only DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM.

been getting alot of probs with RITEK GO5 8x lately, (used these for 4 years) so been useing verbatim with TYGO3 dye, not a prob so far and the verbs are -R works on about 7 different players thus far.
