You need to use a pandora's battery and Pandora's memory stick in order to install Custom Firmware (A.K.A 3.90 M33). You can either buy them on Ebay (Not the way I suggest). Buy battery on codejunkies.com and make the memory stick by yourself. Or make the battery and memory stick by yourself. You can find tutorials on how to do this on Youtube, and practically every where if you use google. forums.qj.net also may be of use.

Hey can someone PLEASE help me, I bought a PSP off craigslist like an hour ago. When I got home i ralized the sound didnt work.

Well that sucks. Then i hacked it and made it 3.71 m33-2

And then I turned it off. When I tried to turn it back on...

Nothing.

Its not bricked, cuz the green light does not even come at all. Right now its on sale at Amazon for 60 labeled as a broken PSP.

Can anyone help me fix this?

You can always try replacing the motherboard by buying one from eBay.com or another place (I would not trust this myself because it is through eBay, and there are a lot of hypocrites out there so you never know if it's gonna work or not.). Or what I would do is just send it back for all my money back and buy one from you local EB Games or Game stop. If you don't have one that you can get to then you can always go to their website, . They are a reliable resource for all your gaming needs. I know this because I have boughten 3 PsP's from them. None came to me non-working. They all worked fine. They also have a warranty you can buy for around $20 U.S. Dollars, and they will replace your PsP if it breaks at all.

No you are not required to install a addon. It's just a homebrew application that runs over the original Sony Menu. All it does is that and puts a bunch of other programs togethor. It requires no add-ons at all.Just install it like any other homebrew program. And you would run the Maroonish-Brownish Icon.

Wow!!

What a wicked Plugin...

It worked first time for me, I have tried a few others that are doing the rounds but this one is the easiest to setup ( "well its all done for you")

A BIGUP to the Author of it....

this program works for me, the only problem that i wanna fix is:
how can i disable the automatic opening of irshell?
when i shut down the psp (hold the off switch for a while), i turn it on and it loads irshell. how can i disable that?

(EDIT)
nvm this msg cuz i just figured it out. if others want to know, follow this:
from your root of ur memory stick, go to "setplugins" folder. there, delete the file "irsautoboot.prx" and open "vsh" and remove "ms0:/seplugins/irsautoboot.prx" from it.

You can also just go to your recovery menu by fully shutting your PsP off then turning it on while holding R then Go to Plugins and disable irsautoboot.prx from there instead of deleting it.
