My biggest complaint about it was the deplorable, almost unbearable framerate/slow down during action sequences and clipping. I dunno how in the world IGN said those issues didn't hinder gameplay. I'm digressing.
I've never experienced slowdowns except when I blow up three or more police trucks or when a lot of police cars are trying to block me but that's it. Never in cut scenes, although I'm only about 50% finished. Probably because I use av and not HDMI :(
ANYWAYS my fav games are
1.GTA4
2.GT5P
3.GRID (Still have to buy it)
4.COD4
Now that I think about it, I don't think there's a game coming out any time soon that I "must" get. Maybe Madden 09 but after that, I think I'm not picking anything up for a while.
EDIT

I've noticed that whenever you drive along the bridges, especially at high speeds, you really notice framerate issues. Of course, when there's plenty of action going on (as you progress through the game, the missions become "big" ones) there's tremendous slow down.
Don't get me wrong. The game is fantastic and it's definitely a lot of fun, but that statement by IGN is ludicrous.
