People have been saying that for 8 months. I think I will hold on to mine for awhile longer. I hate to give mine up because it is so easy to load and has a great picture. It's true suport at times has been slow but they still get it out. Just my 2 cents

false only the are slower than the (cdrs) for the other boxes 6100.7000 etc...

I've been hearing that 5000 was losing support for a while. I'm not tossing mine until I go a month without service. They still take care of us, we just take longer because there are so many other priorities. No worries, just be patient

I have had a cs5k for about 2yrs and they have got really bad about bins. I bought a 7100pvr and LOVE it I still have 5k for the camper the remote is better on the 5k but if anyone is looking for a new box 7100 are not to bad and you do not have to unhook the box to load. Bin came out faster to!

I have my CS5K for about 1 1/2 years and like it a lot,but support sucks.I bought a sonicview 4K and love it too, but when bins for the coolsat works I use it as my primary.I like the menus and signal is stronger.It is a well made box.....but again...support sucks !!!!

Its is important to remember that cs5000 remains an important console and should not be negated to the dustbin of history due in part to ill-conieved notions of the possibility or lack of possibility of fixes.

The scrambled channel lasted about 1 hr. No idea why.

Just loaded 178 on my cs5k and does not work. I get scrambled channels and even in the NASA channel I get no audio/no video.
Any body having the same problem? Did a hard rebbot,but no luck.Back to SV4K.

Hey there is another site to get bins besides these does anyone know any other ones? I had it in my favorites but had to reboot. I think it starts like f2... not shore?
