Do people like that even have lives? F**king idiot made at least five accounts for one stupid thread. Truly shows how much time they have *hint*age*hint*.
I wish I'd gotten in to the beta. The first one was pretty good and I just played through it last week. If anyone's in, how is it?

It is an absolute stonker of a game!
For a beta it plays brilliantly, having some issues a the moment for logging on, getting various errors, but eventually you get logged in.

I'm not sure, though... I don't have the Beta (contrary to my last post), and I only managed to play the first one (and, I suppose, the PSP title, which was lots of fun, but it wasn't an FPS), and I was really... well, perhaps not really, but a bit disappointed in it.
What are the initial reactions to the Beta?
(On a related note, I seriously doubt that it looks as flawless as it does on that "trailer" released way back when, but how does it compare to that?)

Just watched the hi res vids posted over on Maxconsole. It's looking sweet. They're saying there's some frame rate dropping and bluring when things get busy, but they still got plenty of time to address those little issues.
KZ1 didn't really do it for me. But KZ2 looks like it'll be the first "must buy" for me on the PS3.

Got a question for anyone who is in the beta, do you have access to or have tried K2 with an XCM XFPS?

Ohh ohh ohh (waves hand in the air), I know the answer.
Obviously I didn't get in the beta, but the answer would be no. The XFPS only works with the 360. The Rate Up is the XCM counterpart for the PS3.
I build and sell a lot of XIMs on eBay. That XFPS is a piece of junk. You just can not dial it in good. And I've read that the Rate Up is just as bad. For my PS3, I use an XIM and use a Yobo for an adapter, instead of the Rate Up.

Yes, I meant the XCM XFPS Rateup for PS3. So how much does an XIM run? Are they expensive & would it be worth just getting an XCM XFPSR? Also in your opinion is it just like using a PC, almost like it or not exactly like it?

The XIM runs better with the PS3 than it does with the 360. It's really smooth. That's because the 360 is limited to using an XFPS or a Max Shooter as an adapter. Either of those limit the XIM software to 30-35 updates per second.
With the PS3 and using a Yobo as an adapter, my XIM updates are 59-63 updates per second. Most will stay clear of the Rate Up because it is really overpriced. For the price of the Rate Up, you can buy the adapters and parts to build 2 XIM's. And the feel of the XIM over the Rate Up is night and day.
If you can solder, even a little bit, then you can build your own XIM. It only requires 6 wires to be soldered.

It really is as close to pc gaming as you'll get. I use to love pc gaming, but gave up on be quite awhile back because I was tired of upgrading my pc.
But now, I have the accuracy of the mouse and can game with my friends on PSN/LIVE. The only drawback (for some) is that the XIM software runs on a pc, so one (or a laptop) would be needed with in reach of a usb cable.
Like I said, I sell them on eBay, but I'm not here to drive sales. I'd be more than happy to pass info along to anyone here who would like to build their own. AD has helped me out A LOT over the years, so I'd be glad to return the favor. ;)
