the picture was of a stripped wire. tinning it means just put some solder(tin) on the stripped wire. this will make soldering it easier.
good luck with the soldering job, will do mine this weekend.

thanks for all of your help, but I found out that there are many traces that are damaged, the copper ring around the lpc all came off, so I don't think I will be able to fix it. I'm thinking of buying one for really cheap. Thanks for all your help anyway.
