You're fine. Look for the channel with the strongest signal try s*y sports 2 etc. You might have to leave it for a good while.
Try menu 1570 emu off exit back to channel, turn box off at back for a minute, turn back on, menu 1570 default ok emu on exit back to scrambled channel.

Manual inputting should work yes, but you are better to upgrade your firmware.

boxyman - Had same problem as you with the same box, used the same fix as you described worked perfectly however it does take time for channels to update, so don't worry if it takes a while.

Evastar when you say "a while" how long is that?
I flashed but box is stuck on "updating 0%".

Which box is it? One of the sv2's i did yesterday took over an hour to kick in.
For starviews:
Check for the channel with the strongest signal, wait for the updating message, if it is moving up from 0% at all leave it on that channel for a good ten minutes, if it isn't try menu 1570 emu off exit turn it off at the back for a minute turn it back on leave it on s*y indie or s*y sports 2, which ever scrambled channel has the best signal, menu 1570 default ok emu on exit to channel and leave it to update.
Some of them seem to be a bit lazy, make sure you have no splitters on your signal.

Think its a starview 2,says The Box on it,its a fairly old one,i flashed the latest firmware on it and it has been stuck on 0% for the past half hour.I have done the turing off box etc and still nothing.I have the channel set to sky sports 1.

You could always give up and just do a manual input on it. Some of them just won't autoroll, i don't know why.
Try changing the channel a couple of times to other premium channels, if you get the update to start going up on any of the channels leave it on that one.

The box isnt mine,im not at home at the min,i done a scan and it found the channels,but it just wont update.Having to wait for over an hour for it to update is mad.

I know, but there just seems to be a glitch with them, i had to give up on one of them yesterday. Some of the others here have done sv1, 2 and 3's and only had problems with the 2's.

put it on sky2 and wait. if it's blinking every 5 seconds but on 0% try sky sports2. then vice versa until it starts going. it might update 3 times until it works.
and check that emu is on. if it's scrambled or bad press set default key first.

Hi, I have the box aswell and I have downloaded the firmware. When I enter it into the v4.03 application it wont start the download. Help me! I'm slow

Has anyone got the box pvr??
Noelyf or Scouser?
I have flashed it and the channels were fine yesterday. This morning they were gone. I still have a few random ones (sky spots xtra, vh1, rte 1).
Im on n*l in dublin with new firmware (ver3.105, 8.12.08).
I have tried leaving it on the suggested channels (sly 2/ disney/ movies/ sports) but nothing!!
I did the same to my sisters one down the road and it works fine!!!
Any ideas?

I have manually entered in the codes but I would prefer to get the boxes working properly with the firmware, anyone outthere that can help?

Well if you have (manually entered) why not give it go by pressing Set Fefault key and see if it is going to sort it at the next roll. That's what I would try at the minute.

As far as I know there is no solution for the autoroll as yet.
Just put them in manually for the moment.
