I have been reading alot. supposedly...NO. liteon needs nForce or VIA only. (like i said, only what i've read, and have found this more than once)
I have nForce chipset/sata, but will be getting a pci via 6421, to be sure of success. I have not performed the flash as of yet on my liteon.

went to edit this and could not...i have changed my mind and will attempt this with my onboard nForce chipset. putting the saved money towards an extractor and building a probe. it all appears to be a decision on your part, if you're going to try your intel C/S. best of luck and post your results.
hi there can anyone help me, I tried to flash my x box lite on drive but when I tried to read my drive`s key with probe I couldnt get any readings.I used ck3 connectivity kit lite as well like pro and I used serial connection. I ran win xp servis second service pack. I used jungle flasher 1.51 as well as 1.62 beta.My x box drive is lite on and it starts with number 83055 or something and it was manufactured in july 2009. I followed instruction from one vid tutorial but that one was for drives starting with number 7.... I thing older drives.If anyone know how to flash latest lite on drive please let me know. I have a lite-on dvd drive for my 360.
I was wondering if it's possible to use Slax2 or a lite-on equivalent toolkit to flash if i modified firmware bins so i have firmware compatible with my lite-on drive. out of the tutorials ive looked through i can't seem to find an easier way to flash a 360 drive than to have an hitachi and use slax2. i dont have a connectivity kit and cant afford one

Uh, for 1, get the latest J/F, which I have 1.67. 2ndly, you using your mother B sata, or do you have a via 6421 pci card? I have onboard, but froze the pc up so many times, i purchased via card for $7, shipped from HK. Dunno what else to tell you, other than you must be reading whatever guide you're using, to the gnats ass. If you're not holding your mouth right, it may not work. Such as, drive tray position, etc.
