yeah you don't have to have a desktop computer to do it, as long as you have a sata card for your laptop.

well that is impossible then, no expansion for this lappy. hmm the nearest desktop i can get access to is 80km away and at least 4 years old >< i guess i won't be getting this done any time soon.. sucks to live in rural japan. thanks for your reply =)

i noticed that Ck3 is £34.95 and 360 Xtractor (Lite-On Drive Reader) is £34.99 not sure about the shipping costs but they both kinda same.

and what about powering the drive?

do they both do it the same way? or need something else?
