Well it should have worked then, unless your friend's PS2 is not the same region as yours.

I see that now, I missed it before.

Well I have heard of it not working with only one game installed on some pen drives.
Try installing more than 1 game and see then if it works.

Otherwise like I say get a larger USB External drive, they work best.

fmcb won't work with most modchips. You have to disable your modchip for it too work.

Nope sorry, there is no way to do a cross region install with fmcb 1.8

If you have a modchip, then use the CD method to install fmcb 1.8 on your PS2.

You could get one of the fellow over at psx-scene forums to install fmcb 1.8 for you then.
Find one of them in your region and pm them.
http://psx-scene.com/forums/freevast/588...cb-for-you.html

If you PS2 is a slim, the laser is not expensive to replace.

Ok earlier you said you have a modded slim

What is the SCPH-xxxxx on the bottom or back of your console.

Most like is PAL, so someone there could install PAL region for you.

I'm having same trouble like lesnar123... I'm trying to play FFX and crash mind over mutant which are both compatibility status is green which should have ran with USB advance.. But when i press "X" to start the game from USB advance menu.. i get a message "please wait... loading title" then it freezes. I'm sure the game is not loaded cause i can see the USB advance at the background...
I'm using
PS2 FAT (SHCP-5XXXXX)Modded
FMCboot 1.8
USB SATA Hard Drive 500 GB (FAT32)

I believe you don't have to send your MC. Ask someone to upload their PAL FREE MCBOOT content. Then copy the content of MCBOOT from ELFloader to your MC through USB mass storage... Hope it works.. Best of luck.

thanks for reply dude..

but i guess that dosent work.. every install is unique... it will not work if transferred from one MC to another even though the install had been done on the console of same region
