Okay one more thing ;p

when i play sayy DVD-R's on my Xbox 360, it would have to just have an iso file on there?
would i be able to play a burnt movie perhaps?

I have the latest iXtreme firmware installed on my DVD drive now (i'm assuming this comes with stealth).

how'd you get pass the error?..looked it up but everyone kept saying to look for the config file..was the config file in the system folder?

well honestly i gave up with the RAID Controller PCI Card and found an onboard SATA port.
So i used that and it worked a treat :]

they may have been conflicting woth eachother if u didnt disable the onboard sata while using the pci card.

okay i just noticed, Xbox 360 games are about 6.7GB
and ermm, well ahaa my DVD-R's are only 4.7gb

can i get bigger than this?

u are supposed to get DVD+R DL for 360 games

DVD+R DL as in Dual Layer

Verbatim brand is the best check for made in singapore, i get mine at office max about 40 bucks for a 20 pack

well thats just the thing.
I have an MSI motherboard and i couldn't find anyway of disabling the on-board SATA ports ANYWHERE in the BIOS settings ;/

so i need to ask, will my DVD drive burn dual layer DVD-R's then?
its an ATAPI DVD A DH20A4P ATA Device and it says DVD Multi Recorder on the front.
Same thing?

oo i don't suppose anyone here would know anything about bridging an Xbox 360 to your Computer and a Netgear Router?

Had some trouble with the bridge i used to connect to Xbox Live when we braught a Netgear Wireless Router.

U need DVD + R DL not - but + so if u ordered - u need to go into the order and get it changed before they ship it. there is a thread on connecting with bridge and such i also started i will add to this shortly

well i'm glad i got the right ones!
obviously only got a 5 pack just to start off with.

Update guys:

So it seems i have flashed the firmware on my Toshiba-Samsung Xbox DVD Drive, but i tried it with a DVD-R just this morning which had an avi file written on it and nothing happened. ;/
I put the disc in the tray and closed it and the only on screen option i could choose was to open the tray.
Do you think i went wrong somewhere?

yeahh, i already tested a real DVD earlier today and it worked fine ;/
it's like the firmware never even loaded onto it!

no not really. if u burned a dvd-r movie and it didnt work that doesnt mean the fw didnt take. u need to try a game if the game works then u are good
