no drive detected in jungle flasher

I now have a problem with this. If I put my hitachi drive into mode b using the crosswire trick it is assigned a drive letter and jungle flasher says the hitachi drive is detected but the port it should be on is not listed.
every other drive i've done was on port 0xc800 which is not in the list anymore. the sata cable is still plugged in to the same place that i used for other drives so I know this is correct. The only thing I've changed is the operating system, from vista to windows 7.
I'm assuming this is the cause of the problem but not sure how to resolve it?
portio32 is installed and using latest version of jungle flasher.
tried an older version too. still the port wasn't showing.

To install portio32 on Windows 7 goto start and type in the search bar "hdwwiz"

I have some horrible problems. I am Flashing my lite on drive. i have my ck3 and probe and all the drivers i need. When i go into jungleflasher it recognizes my lite-on drive.When i try and extracy my key it "............

But when i go to device manager it does recognize my comport. i am using a serial to USB adapter. I have no idea where to go from here.
