According to the Houston Chronicle, a Kentucky man has been arrested and charged with promoting child pornography, online solicitation of a minor, and sexual performance of a child after he persuaded an 11-year old girl to send him nude pictures of herself while they played multiplayer games over PSN, the free online network on the PlayStation 3.

I agree. My sister is 12 and I can say that she definitely knows its not ok to take naked pictures of yourself and send them to strangers on the internet. I don't think there is a massive jump in maturity from being 11 to being 12. An 11 year old is a 5th grader. They've had sex-ed by that time. These aren't like 5 year olds.
The guy should get a sentence but I don't see how the girl should get off scott free. She provided child porn and sent it over the net. Isn't that illegal? I don't think it should be given the stamp approval just because, "he asked me to do it." Plus, she "performed" for him.
I think that as a whole, this country gives minors too little credit and always paints them as some innocent victim of a sad and cruel world. I say no. Some of them are indeed psychopaths and some of them are indeed sluts and whores.
I'm not siding with either party in this incident, but that guy is an idiot. If he wanted to engage in that kind of activity with a minor, then he should have found someone that's not living in the same country as him. This way, he would have probably gotten away with it since he and the victim would have been in two different countries.

youre stupid. for one its not illegal to take nude pics of yourself, and two she is 11. who the *bleep* is going to accuse an 11 year old of child pornography for taking pics of herself
Huh!,first you go on about what you think may have been said or some lame attempt to get her to send more pictures otherwise what was it you said he said ?,show me again in that topic where it is mentioned blackmail was used i don't seem to see a charge for it ,which seems rather strange when she quite willingly sent the first picture/s,as for the above quote, varnull never mentioned anywhere it was illegal to take piks herself, what she was saying is it's illegal to distribute pictures of minors one would assume that includes minors themselves & at 11 years of age she should know that or at least know it's not quite right for some pedo to be asking for them, yes!
