Just read that nFusion article, I wouldn't listen to too much of this as we had it with N1 & N2 and we got round this the rhumours about 1 guy breaking the code is nonsense but what they didn't say in the article was the Kudelski Group who have shipped some 25 million smart cards to Nt Hell and other service providers world wide are set to loose billions if N3 goes tits up, and thats why it will take probably a year before a crack is released, but hopefully it's sooner than that....Hopefully

Hi folks,
Is this currently affecting Northern Ireland. My box has been fine and I'm normally good with boxes, but this has puzzled me. All I'm getting is "Scrambled or Bad Channel" for every channel. (except Freeview which rules out a set-up issue. I have the Fix latest fixed and has never failed until now. I have even tried updating the keys manually but to no avail.
Is This Nagra3 ? It's only thing I can think of....

No, it is only a guess to say that they will wait and see how it goes here first. So could be about six months, could be more, or less.

guess its time to dust off the cobwebbs off the old sky dish in preporation for the n3 switchover.it just amazes me how a new little card can do so much and it cannot be emulated.oh well good while it lasted and a big thanks to all on this great site who have helped in the past(and the future maybe???).
but as anything in life there is always a way around it.its just a case of waiting and letting the boffins have a play.

yep emu is on
it must be your box,if it was nagra 3 you would still be recieving some channels but not all of them,plus northern ireland is the uk so you shouldnt be effected.

lol I've tried absolutely everything, Even opened it up to make sure the Coax connector wasn't loose. Anyway, Thanks for your help here, I don't want to HiJack your thread.

These channels have now moved to N3 so it wont matter how many times you scan your box you will not get them back and its only a matter of time before more move up the tree and at the present time there does not look like there is likely to be a fix for a while to come so enjoy what you have for the moment
Looks like they're doing ppv channels first. Also The Box (music channel) isn't gone do a rescan and it's back but takes longer to come on.

Is it deffinitly Nagra3 that is being rolled out?
I've heard its only nagra2 which would make some boxes still usable once the software is written as correct me if I'm wrong Were Germany not on this for years using DBox2's etc?

It's without doubt Nagra 3, people have verified this, and it remains uncracked, for now.

I thought I read the old boxes wouldnt work with Nagra3 even with new cards?
Ah well it was bound to happen sooner or later, guess everyone was wrong about needing new boxes in every house for nagra3
onto free satellite and stealing(borrowing) broadband instead
