i am a bit of a computer dummy and newbie but am having the same trouble as bunswald really need help have done everthing and exact same thing is happening me. help please

do you have the correct loader and the bin file(and all cables needed)if you are using an usb to seriel adaptor lead then you will need a driver(a program on a disc that should come with the usb adaptor,or you can download one)if your pc is windows vista it can be very hard to flash your box(but if you locate a good driver you may be lucky and it will work)if you have all the above and still it wont download maybe you have a friend who has pc with windows xp,who let you try on his.or do as i did(i got an old desktop that was not wanted for free,but you could buy one cheap,they have a seriel connection at the back so no need for usb adaptors or drivers or anything else,just screw in a null modem cable to the box and to the pc,open the loader find the bin file and download)but as a say if you look around the net you may get lucky and find a good driver that will work.good luck.

have the correct loader and cables and driver disc not 100% sure about bin file and i do have a laptop with vista so i'll try and use a friends computer to see if it works. thanks for your help

hi i am new to this so dont know if i am doing right thing.i have always had a starview box,but have just got a kryptview a750.with the starview i only had to stick the cable from n-l,from my t.v.into the starview box.the kryptview seems to have a screw in connection,is this right.also can someone tell me how to send a p.m.i want to get in contact with scouser.
