On Tuesday the Judiciary Committee in the US House of Representatives approved the Performance Rights Act for consideration by the full House. If enacted into law as currently written, it would require most terrestrial radio stations to pay royalties to the copyright holder of each recording they play. The day the music died ( In the US anyway). Not being a modern music fan i think this is great news, this way we hear less garbage music and the labels STILL get no money. And not only that but they can say goodbye to all that free advertising.
