cutscenes ?! i guess you're referring to the initial part when you are in the vault ... growing up before you get out to the wastes...
cause after that first part in the vault i can't remember a single cutscene until the end of the game... so ya you shouldn't really base any opinion on that first little part of the game ...
once you get outta the vault the game is very much like GTA4... you're completely free to roam around, gather guns/ammo/money, kill things... enslave people ... kill everything you see with any kinda weapon you can imagine... combat knives, rocket launcher, pistol... no more cutscenes

Yea I dont think that is it because Bethesda did not make the other fallout games and they were very 'old school'. I got into it because it was basically an imporoved Elder Scrolls engine and if you like RPGs, those games were awesome, so I guess you are right in a sense for me it was loyalty but more towards bethesda and the work they have done and not the previous fallout games. I had never even heard of them before 3.
hmmmm, this thread is making me want to give it a 2nd chance! i did enjoy the week i put in on it, it just got kinda old.obviously this game isnt for everyone but im guessing as far as rpg's go its gotta be good, since so many people that dont like rpg's have played it.also, ive gotta agree with BurningAs- its nice to have a thread thats not technical related :)

There hasn't been very many RPG's for xbox (not to mention succesful ones)... some of the pirate's of the caribean [bad spelling] on xbox 1 were pretty good. I think they should re-release some of the better RPG's on to all consoles... not just gamecube (like ocarina of time).
