i did answer it. you dont need an enclosure to flash your drive, it will do you no good at all as it wont power the drive. what you need is once again:
1) connect the drive to your desktop via sata cable. you have to have 1 a via chipset on your desktop, or get a PCI card that has the via 6124 chipset.
2)power the drive with either the console itself, or with a conectivity kit
3)learn how to use jungerflasher (read the damn tutorial) and flash your console.

ok so ima power the drive by using my xbox 360.
BUT can i still use the sata that i previusly posted to connect the drive to my computer?

sure but it probably wont work, as for a benq you either have to have it connected to a PCI card with a via 6421 chipset, or have a via sata controller in your PC already.

sata to usb will possibly work, no guarantees. its easier to just do it the correct way to a via 6421 pci card so you know it will work. and its not really all that confusing.

I believe the OP is on a MacBook using WinXP bootcamp. lol.. that is why I recommended USB-to-SATA to flash.

ok , i am a noob to xbox360 modding so pls dont bash me up if this sounds stupid..i have a few questions..
1.do all new xbox360s (arcade)from the US have lite on drives?(i'm planning to buy one later this summer)
2.whats all the noise about via chipset my on board sata controller is an nvidia mcp61 will this work without the via chipset thing?(just connecting to my motheboard through a spare sata cable?)
3.whats the thing about the CK3 if you have lite on drives?I read the tut from JF and i didnt understand the use of the CK3 only a led lights up..is it absolutely necessary?

A very very high chance you will get a Lite-ON drive.

Possibly, only way to know is to try it out.

You can use the XBOX 360 to power the drive but it is a little bit harder, especially with the Lite-ON. You will need a probe anyway, so just go with the CK3 Lite/Pro version and the probe add-on.

You need a SATA cable and a compatible SATA chipset to flash a BenQ. Onboard sometimes work or the VIA 6421 chipset.

well thats the pci card you need, but i wouldnt buy from that seller as they are from hong kong, so it would take like 5 years to get it shipped to you.
