and BTW, It's now your turn, stop back when you're free and help someone else - they'll appreciate it and it will make you feel better :-)

You can then Welcome them into the Club :D

We hope to see you around when you're not having problems to solve -

You'll find us over there, by the water cooler, chewing the fat and trying to help the next Newbie with the weight of the burning world upon their shoulders -

Well, I am changing my tune as well. I was a supporter of Memorex media until recently.

I'm using the HP DVD 300i with Record Now Max 4.1 and I was a good 20/20 (give or take, still a perfect record though) with the Memorex DVD+R media. BUT lately I've run into a few compatibility issues. I primarily play my DVD's on my X-Box and just backed up two movies recently (Evil Dead and School of Rock) and neither play on the X-Box. They both play on my el cheapo $40 DVD player though. At this moment I'm attempting to back up Cat in the Hat or Ozzy Live at Budokan with the same program and media and I took a blank right out of the plastic and Record Now Max is telling me to use a blank or appendable DVD...wtf?? I opened another and keep getting buffer underrun errors. I'm only recording at 2x and was confused. But now reading this thread I'm perhaps blaming it on media. I'm going to go out and try some of the branded Verbatim as I haven't seen the Ritek media at retail here in the Toronto area. Any suggestions from anyone else?

Well let me say this about that,

A good grade media will give you a little peace of mind as opposed to that bargin disc when it comes to playing that treasured DVD 5 years from now :P)

Note: At last count there were 4 different manufacturers making media for Memorex. Like the Ad said, are you wondering what's keeping your data safe ?

Cheers,

Pete
