bambi,

Good news!! But I wouldn't give up on Xpress, after all you've already bought it so might as well use it. I suggest getting a pack of RW's until you get the bugs worked out. It really is good to have other ways of backing up. Try the newer version.

Also you mentioned getting Nero. Is it the trial version? Or did you buy the full version?

Its the trial version, but, I will purchase the full version. thank you again for your help. unless I have problems arise with shrink and Nero I probably wont mess with xcopy for fear of causing a problem on my system when it works perfect now.

It won't mess anything up. Also when you do get the full version of Nero 6, you'll be able to use Nero Recode 2. DVD43 or AnyDVD w/ Recode 2, you will have another method of backing up dvds. So just keep that in mind :)

Xcopy isnt a bad program, but it doesnt like to be install with certain software. 321 studios has a list called the blacklist, they are the programs that interfere with the xcopy line.

May as well use the xcopy software, since you now have an investment in it.

bambi,

Just an example about having multiple ways to backup. A member was having trouble making a backup of Matrix Reloaded. He tried Decrypter, Shrink, etc.. And the only program that made the backup was Xpress. So don't give up on it.

There can be several issues, but try this.
Play the movie for 2-3 minutes in a player, like Powerdvd or Windvd, open xcopy, click start to strat the rip process and then close powerdvd, but let xcopy continue.

nolesman,

3.2.3 is a newer version than 3.2.1, and them member who provided the link also said it will do the whole movie. As far as the css error, try what 321sucker stated. Or you can get DVD43(free) or AnyDVD($39). Is v3.2.3 a ripper free version? If so, 321rip should work with it.
