I downloaded hdloader and I got it to work no problem the first time, it formated the drive and everything. Then I turned off my ps2 and started it back up and I can't get the hdloader disk to work...any ideas on that?

maybe it's just my console, but if i am lucky i boot 2 cd then hdloader cd.
but most of the time i need to load original cd Swap magic 3.0 >> then SM 2.0 then >> cdloader >> then HD LOADER. sigh

Cutting out SM3 doesn't work either? I don't think it has ever failed me going SM2 -> CDloader -> HDloader. I have a version 7 PS2.

just use the memory card exploit.... it works everytime without haveing to change any disk....

It works just like the real disk!!!

Don't you need a chip to do the memory card thing? I ran it and while it said it installed, it never seemed to work for me.

Do you need a mod chip to get the cracked version of Hdloader to work? I downloaded the ps2ownz-hdloader and burned it to a cd but it didn't work when I loaded it into my virgin PS2 machine. I used both Nero 6 and alcohol 120% and neither worked. Any suggestions? Oh and I do have the network interface installed but I don't have a hard drive yet.

a downloaded version of hd loader acts just like a burned copy of a ps2 game.
