I know this is a little late to help stjowa but here is some info for others that may benefit. The problem described here is most likely related to a transistor on the mainboard. I put up a breif page to describe in more detail. http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/1.6_Xbox_no_power.htm

It could be your transister on you motherboard check out the link:

Also they have they have components for you to replace it.
