Trying to burn regular old CDs to play in the car and keep getting a skipping sound or static noise cutting in all over some of the tracks. Im leaning towards old media being the culprit but not sure, at first I tried cutting back the number of tracks, they say 80min 700 mb but around 70 minutes I hit 700 mb according to nero. at first I thought it was my other software too and when I switched to nero the first CD came out perfect, then some bigger discs did the same thing so I cut them down under 700mb and the first few tracks came out alright but then had the same noise in them. Before getting frustrated enough to give up for the night I burned one the old fashioned way, ripping the mp3s to wav files and burned them(keeping it under 700mb and around 68 minutes) and it seemed to work fine. This media is pretty old, 8x:) so tomorrow I will probably go pick up some new stuff, any suggestions for decent cdr media? any to avoid like the plague? any other ideas what this could be?

I searched the forums and one thing caught my eye, the ASPI driver, I didnt have one installed so I got the nero one off this site and installed it but not sure if that had anything to do with it. I havent tried again since I installed it.
