Hello all!
I am having some problems on reading DVDs backup on my PS2. I have a Neo 2.2 modchip+AR2, and so far it has working Ok with CDs, but when it comes to DVD's ? some works, others don't!!!
To read the DVD backups, I followed your Tutorial instructions regarding "PS2 with Neo 2.2 modchip & AR/GS, PS2 DVD backup booting" point, but it doesn't work with many games. Those backups were recorded at same velocity and used same media as others that work just fine. I thought it had to do with the size of the DVD backup, but "MGS Snake Eater" works ok and smaller DVD's backups don't (ex. Burnout 3). Besides, those same backups work ok on PS2 that use more recent modchips ? so I believe the problem is not on the backups!!!
I notest that in failure attempts, after step 14) the DVD driver makes a "strange noise" and the following sound (DVD reading) is different from the sound on the successfully attempts.
Is that really like that, or I may have some problem in my PS" DVD driver/laser reader?!?! Can that be fixed using some kind of DVD cleaner or so?!?!
Please if you have any ideas, please reply ? or else ? I will have to change to a newer modchip!! 
Anyhow, thanks for the great information you have here!!!
