what's your system specs? (CPU speed, how much RAM)
Are you using quality enhancements in Shrink?

I ask these questions because I used to get the same results using a 600MHz laptop with quality enhancements. Could be normal but if you're using something like a 3GHz with 1GB of RAM there could be something else going on there.

try ripping with DVD Decrypter. If it's a new movie it could have a new encryption on it and DVD Shrink hasn't been updated in over a year because the author of the program works for Nero now. If that doesn't help you, it could be a DMA issue. Check the links in my sig for info on that.

If you're running Windows XP, to check the specs just right-click My Computer and select Properties. That should tell you the CPU speed and amount of RAM.

Nero will just crash or pop the cd out an read error.. (Dvd shrink hasn't been updated in over a year because the author of the program works for Nero now.) i got a funny felling this authro guy has sumthing to do with it lol... what do you reckon? so is there another burnning program i can try, but will try DVD Decrypter and then Nero once again thanks

could you post your Nero log? It's located in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log. Edit out your serial number (begins with 1A21 or something like that), we'll see what we can do with it.
