Does this modchip work? Will this modchip actually let me play backup games? Does it support dvd9 discs(gran turismo 4)?

That right there will only play cd backups (dvd rips), so there really isn't a need to get it. You also still have to solder one wire inside, you miswell get one of the new modchips out (dms4 pro, etc.) or use swapmagic, I would not recommend that neokey.
