ok, Im confused here, I need a method to backup and play psx games on the ps2, I need to know if it is possible to play through a psx boot disk, and if imports are possible. thanks.

You can try this:

Put in your psx original game in your ps2, when you see the psx logo quikly swap the psx original game with the psx backup and it will boot! If you want better detailed instructions go here http://www.jamez.org/sitefaq/index.html
