Hey

I installed a magic-s in my v12 ps2, it bugles terribly and it doesn't read any backups, sometimes it can read movies and non backup games. Ihave to hold it down for it to read it though,but like i said its like the chip isn't installed anyway

any ideas? thanks

I heard that the magic is a really bad chip. what i would reccomend is buying a slidecard off of ebay for a cheap price($2-$20) and replacing the magic. Or you can take it out and go through the whole assembly process again

thanks but i really don't wanna swap
is the dms better? the slimline seems too tight for the chip though, i installed the xenium ice for xbox and it had a light on it to tell u it was getting power and was working, anything like this for ps2?
